A barista is a highly trained professional preparer of espresso-based drinks. Espresso is a sophisticated method of extracting the finest essences from the highest quality gourmet coffee beans. For the serious barista there are national and international competitions and there is even a barista guild and professional magazine.

Working baristas typically also prepare other specialty drinks such as gourmet teas and iced and blended drinks.

Although specialty drink preparation is the primary job of any barista, there are other responsibilities that come with the position. As a food establishment, cleanliness is of the utmost importance. It is, therefore, one of the barista's tasks to maintain a sparkling clean environment throughout the shop.

In order to provide the best experience for our customers, our baristas will need to be friendly and outgoing as well able to share the knowledge and passion of coffee.
